Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state of India and also is the third largest state with respect to area. As the population is very dense, the requirement for shelter in urban and rural areas has become the need of the hour for the Uttar Pradesh government. This pushed the government to establish the Uttar Pradesh housing board. Since then the housing board has planned and implemented many residential layouts. The development scheme also was diversified all across the state without restricting itself to a single area or region in the state. It could strike a balance with the development rate of the major cities to the rural towns and villages. Like in other few states where loans are provided to purchase a house under the housing board scheme are also available in Uttar Pradesh. The big loan giving firms, LIC (Life Insurance Corporation), UTI (Unit Trust of India), HDFC and Housing and Urban Trust of India are helping Uttar Pradesh housing board’s customer to ensure the financial aid in the form of loan which is to be repaid back in monthly instalments. Renowned engineers and architects are helping build the infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh efficiently.
