Lucknow Development Authority
Lucknow development authority (LDA) came into existence in the year 1974 under the act of Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning & Development which was passed in the year 1973. Lucknow being the capital city of most populated state in India i.e. Uttar Pradesh needs such kind of development body to stay on par with the growing population in the city. Many projects have been undertaken by the development authority to facilitate the new comers to the city and the permanent residents as well. From the inception LDA has been striving hard to provide eco friendly and pollution free residential projects.
Some of popular schemes implemented by the Lucknow development authority are: The Gomti Nagar Scheme drafted for the Lucknow – Faizabad highway which is located close to places like Hazratganj and Vidhan Sabha is a highly applauded housing project. It comprises sector wise crafted residential colonies with appropriate and adequate commercial units, a multiplex, one office complex and encouraging school plots. The Hardoi Road Scheme sketched strategically in close proximity of Sitapur Road Highway, Lucknow Medical College, and historical places like ‘Chota Imambada’, ‘Ghantaghar’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’. Lucknow development authority has also planned and implemented development projects dealing with residential colonies on similar scheme like Sitapur Road scheme and Kanpur Road scheme. ‘Ashrayaheen Yojna’ consists of eight thousand houses in Para, Sharda nagar, Gomti Nagar, Janaki puram, and Hardoi Road is a housing venture under which the plots are allotted to the people who lost their land in various Road broadening /highway construction or any other infrastructural development works undertaken in the city. Auctions are also conducted for under developed lands to renowned Builders in India like Eldeco Constructions, Unitech Builders India, and Ansals etc. Beautification and modernisation of Begum Hazratmahal Park, Laxman Park, Parivartan Chownk, and Subhash Park are the services provided by the Lucknow development authority. Many people visit the Kudiyaghat Picnic Spot located at Hussainabad Chownk lying on the banks of River Gomti is maintained by the development authority. A new venture called Gomti Nagar Extension is being developed under the supervision of LDA.

I had have purchased (Resale) a plat bearing no. 1/238, Rashmikhand , Rai Bareli Road. I have applied for the Dakhil Khariz request on 5.08.08. But till now I have not received any message from LDA that it was transfered or not. I deposited the 1% fee of this process.

Sir,
I am an NRI. I have a MIG house in Aliganj sector-B. The toal area of the plot is 1800 sq. feet. I want to renovate and extend the existing house about 3 feet in the back side.
Please let me know if I have to get the plan approved by LDA and obtain permission or can I go ahead with my proposed construction.
In case I have to obtain approval what are the formalities and details and whom to contact.

Dear Sir
We would like to bring your kind notice that I have got allotment for the 120 Sq. meter plot in the above said housing scheme. I have deposited full amount against this plot with in due period stipulated in the letter. In this regards, I have visited two times in LDA authority office to enquire about possession of above said plot but all the time I have been told by LDA officer that you will receive a letter for the same when possession started but I have not got any such letter till date.
I had also visited personally two times at site and came to know that there is dispute between former and LDA regarding payment of occupied land.
This may please be noted the I have taken a loan from HDFC and paying regular installment with interest without possession of that plot which is painful to me.
Therefore you are requested to do the needful so that I can take possession of my above said plot.
